I'm shooting for a light neutral post background that will not compete with the artwork colors, with dark lettering (apparently easier to read). As always, I'd love your opinions on the various stages of remodeling, since you're the one who has to look at it to read it. Bad fonts? Silly colors? Annoying backgrounds? Can't read the darn thing because it hurts your eyes? Please let me know.

I love the photo you chose. So true.
I don't like the width of the header--a rectangle that does not square up to include bother the post section and the side bar. Looks cut-off.
I like the colors and the set-up so far. At first I didn't care for the greyed background but it works well with your colorful posts so I'd keep it :) Love the top banner - lots of texture!
I really find the area where we read your script really easy on the eyeballs...thank god...I see tooo many blogs lately who use white and then print the script in yellow or really light blues/turquoise and no one can read this. This is a color scheme I have not seen and it works really well...atleast on my screen.
The darker background color seems a little too dark..but that is most likely my sensitive eyes...see if other people mention the background color. Good luck on the makeover:)
Your profile description is very funny. The truth often is :). I like gray and brown a lot, however, i'm thinking maybe just a bit lighter gray might make it easier to read. You are on the right track!
eye kin reed this wun!! (LOL) Would like to see more color in your header since your work is so colorful. Will await more to choose from (but so far this is my favorite LOL)! I commend you for going through the aggravation - I prefer to stick with the old, used and unimproved, it's just easier!!!

Linda - I totally agree about the header. 1) I just need something up there until I get the rest of the blog figured out to my satisfaction. 2) I'm limping my way through Photoshop, trying to figure out how best to do the header. It's another WIP. As I stumble along, I'll figure out what looks best with the blog. With lots of trial and error.
Rhonda - I'm still wishy-washy about the background, haven't found THE color yet, but will probably stay with something greyed.
Cynnie - so glad your eyeballs are at ease with this...it's things like this I need to know. I think the bg's a bit dark too...have to tweak the values some.
Margaret - yep, the post bg's a bit dark too, need to find that elusive 'perfect shade'. I think there'll be lots of little color changes until it looks right and my eyes don't drop out of my head when looking at it.
Deb - LOL. See the above @ Linda for the header explanation. I get bored with stuff, and just can't seem to leave well enough alone. Apparently my brain doesn't comprehend 'easier'.
