Now comes the interesting part...using the cracks to delineate the drawing and finding a bear amongst the fissures. As if making up for the gel letdown, a bear silhouette became readily apparent.
All that was left was a gleeful brushing of thinned fluid acrylics onto the crackle "islands".

The thinned acrylic washed into the 'moats' around the islands, providing an additional color dimension.
Sometimes, you just have to let go and see where a piece of artwork is going to take you. I had no say in how the paste was going to crack, so the compositional decisions were entirely out of my hands. That just freed Right Brain up to find the forms, go with the flow, and have a blast with color. I like this piece, if nothing else but for the pure fun I had during it's creation.
